Adopt standard classification system for devices

Devise storage system with location plan

Who enters, when

Identify location in physical storage

Remove device from inventory

Procedure (workflow and form)

Perform physical inventory

Method of confirming and reconciling records to physical inventory (Accounting involvement)

Track device assignment

Method of identifying user if contact is necessary

Track device availability

Method of determining availability of device for new user

Report inventory

Method of reporting existing inventory, assigned inventory by time period
