Core Operationg Standards for Startup Nonprofits

As tax-exempt organizations under the Internal Revenue Code, nonprofit organizations are bound by legal constraints to ensure the public interest. However, support from the local community goes beyond the legal framework. The attached document sets forth community expectations for new nonprofit organizations as expressed by a coalition of supporting organizations in Alabama.
